MY CREED WHEN A LITTLE BABY DIES LIFE |
I did not argue with the man,
He gave to force the wisdom
wise
And as we walked 'neath splendid
trees
Too well I know what accident
I let him talk and answered
not.
|
I'd rather see a sermon than
hear one any day;
I soon can learn to do it
if you'll let me see it done;
When I see a deed of kindness,
I am eager to be kind.
One good man teaches many,
men believe what they behold;
|
Somebody said that it couldn't
be done,
Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll
never do that;
There are thousands to tell
you it cannot be done,
|
To live as gently as I can;
|
When a little baby dies
"Oh, there are so many here
Yet some day, in after years,
|
Life is a gift to be used
every day,
Life is a gift that the humblest
may boast of
|
